TYWYSOG OWAIN GLYNDWR PAST PATRIOT - OUR PRESENT DAY NATIONAL HERO AND POLITICAL ICON - NOT JUST A TOURISM ATTRACTION?

MCCR would have no issue with Owain Glyndwr and his story being presented to tourist from abroad as long as this is done in equal measure as part of a National Internal Tourism Strategy as well. The latter seems to be considered in the Cadw Strategy but their whole Interpretation Plan falls apart in so far that it is not a National Plan but a regional one only. Thus it is not telling of the Glyndwr history as a Pan - Wales Story nor even an all Wales Tourism Interpretation plan or strategy, this is made more than clear in the excellent critique well researched and written by Sian Ifans of Embassy Glyndwr. What Sian Ifans does not state but we will, is that this now is a political matter and issue as it could be seen as a conspiracy to denie largelly English Speaking East, Central and South any part or input into this plan. Nationalists in particular need to be particularly concerned about this and bring it to the attention of their local councillors, AM's. MP's and MEP's in haste before it is all cast in stone by Cadw. You should also complain to Cadw, WAG and their Minister of Heritage Alun Ffred Jones. You could also start yourselves organising to ensure that no matter what WAG/Cadw may decide to do you and your communities will make sure that they become part of a Pan Wales Story and National Strategy. So make it happen, the below will be of aid and assistence towards this end patriotic purpose.
